Kyle Warner, DPT Kyle Warner, DPT: Mr. Warner graduated from Stony Brook University with a doctorate of Physical Therapy and a Bachelors of Health Sciences in 2003. After college, he began his career at St. Vincent’s Hospital in lower Manhattan where he worked for two years before moving to home care. Mr. Warner has worked with Visiting Nurse Services of New York as well other home care agencies. He is proud to be the President and Owner of Better Yourself Physical Therapy.
Melissa Palmer, DPT Melissa Palmer, DPT: Melissa is a NYS licensed physical therapist. She received her Masters Degree in Physical Therapy in 2006 and Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy with honors from the Medical College of Georgia in 2008. Melissa has honed her skills as a manual physical therapist through the Institute of Physical Art (IPA), Integrative Manual Therapy Solutions (IMTS), and Stanley Paris, with advanced training in the spine, pelvis, and lower extremities and holds a mat level Pilates certification. She is also an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). Melissa specializes in post operative rehabilitation as well as other orthopedic, athletic, and dance injuries.

Melissa enjoys working in home health physical therapy because of the one-on-one, personalized interaction that takes place. Outside of home health PT, Melissa enjoys providing therapy for performers. In 2008, she became the primary physical therapist for Disney’s "The Lion King" Gazelle Tour and has since worked with dancers/performers from Broadway musicals "Memphis" and "Priscilla Queen of the Desert" as well as dancers from Evidence Dance Company and Alvin Ailey Dance Company. Melissa is very passionate about the art of healing that physical therapy provides, and in her leisure time, she enjoys volunteering for adaptive sporting events, running, dancing, traveling, and Pilates.

Tarra Taylor, MPT Tarra Taylor, MPT: Tarra grew up in Atlanta, GA. She received a Master of Physical Therapy in 2007 and a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Georgia State University. Tarra has worked in a variety of settings including orthopedic outpatient, sport/dance, musical theater, skilled nursing, adult day health center and home health. She has provided physical therapy to people of all ages with various aches, pains and limitations. Her specialties are orthopedics, manual therapy and dance/sports rehabilitation. Tarra has received post graduate training at the Institute of Physical Arts (IPA) manual therapy and attended the Maitland-Australian Physiotherapy Seminars.
Courtney Nurell, MA OTR Courtney Nurell, MA OTR: The oldest in a family of five children, three of whom had special needs and disabilities, Courtney seemed to know at an early age that she'd one day be a therapist. She graduated with her Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Southern California in 2009 and gained experience while interning at Mount Sinai's acute stroke rehabilitation unit, a children's sensory gym, an outpatient stroke rehabilitation center, VISIONS Services for The Blind, and the Vacation Camp for the Blind. After her studies, Courtney served as an advisor for the Adaptive Design Association, a non-profit organization which specializes in custom-made adaptive equipment for children with disabilities. Since then, Courtney has worked with children, adults, and senior citizens in both skilled nursing facilities, homecare, and community settings. Regardless of the setting, Courtney strives to emphasize proper body mechanics and positioning during client-centered treatments ranging from basic activities of daily living (dressing, bathing, feeding, grooming, bed mobility, transfers) to occupational and leisure pursuits that are most meaningful to her clients. She is thrilled to join the Better Yourself PT team!
Cassandra Logsdon, MOT, OTR/L Cassandra Logsdon, MOT, OTR/L: In 2005, Cassie graduated Sum Cum Lade from The Ohio State University with her Bachelors of Psychology. She continued her education at OSU with a Masters of Occupational Therapy. She has experience working with clients of all ages experiencing difficulty with sensory processing, fine motor skills, handwriting, gross motor strength and endurance, post-operative rehab, mental health issues, developmental delays, dementia and many other conditions that impact daily life. She will work with the client and family on interventions to help the client live everyday to the fullest. Cassie believes in taking a holistic, individualized approach to therapy. Cassie combines her background as a yoga teacher (200-Hour Certified) and fitness trainer (CSCS-NSCA) with current clinical medical research to best serve each individual client.
